WE CARE THE SPECIAL NEED CHILDREN SPECIALLY AUTISTIC CHILDREN
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is a complex neurodevelopmental condition impacting communication, social interaction, and behavior. Emerging in early childhood and persisting throughout life, ASD manifests differently in each individual, forming a spectrum of challenges and strengths. Those with ASD may struggle with verbal and nonverbal communication, exhibit repetitive behaviors, and have narrow interests. However, with early diagnosis, tailored interventions, and support from caregivers and professionals, individuals with autism can lead fulfilling lives, emphasizing the importance of understanding, acceptance, and inclusivity in society.

Lohri Celebration
Lohri the festival which ushers in the joyous spring and bids adieu to the hard winter, was celebrated at Autism Educational Welfare School Sangrur with exuberance on 13 January 2025. Special Children were told about the significance of the festival in the classroom first with the help of Flash Card, Chart and video. On the occasion, both children and teachers gathered in the School play field where a bonfire was lit. Folk songs were played to make the mood and soon everybody joined in the energetic rhythm! All teachers and students enjoyed this festival.
